Additional Information
Al Ain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site — the city's oases, archaeological sites, and falaj system are among the oldest in the world.
Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road is a thrilling 12-km drive to the summit — your driver will take you to the top for panoramic views. The road is safe but winding; guests with severe motion sickness may prefer to stop partway.
The natural hot springs at the base of Jebel Hafeet are at approximately 37°C — warm, mineral-rich, and perfect for a relaxing soak. Wear or bring a swimsuit if you wish to enter the water.
Al Jahili Fort entrance is free. Al Ain National Museum has a small entry fee of approx. AED 3/person. Hili Archaeological Park entry is also minimal — fees may change, please check at the time of booking.
Al Ain Zoo (optional add-on) is home to over 4,000 animals including Arabian oryx, lions, tigers, rhinos, and Nubian giraffes. Entrance approx. AED 30/person — mention at booking if you wish to include it.
Al Ain Camel Market is best visited in the morning hours (before 11:00) when trading activity is at its peak.
Modest dress is recommended throughout Al Ain as it is a traditional, culturally conservative city. Shoulders and knees should be covered at heritage sites and museums.
Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes are essential — the oasis, fort, and archaeological park all involve walking on uneven terrain.
Bring sunscreen (SPF 50+), sunglasses, and a hat — Al Ain is inland and significantly hotter and drier than coastal Dubai.
Carry a valid photo ID or passport — required for entry to certain heritage sites and museums.
Photography is permitted and encouraged at all stops — the mountain road, oasis, and fort are especially photogenic.
Lunch is not included but your guide will recommend excellent local and international restaurants in Al Ain city centre.

The drive itself is scenic, passing through the desert landscape as it transitions into the lush, mountain-ringed Garden City. Your guide will use the travel time to brief you on Al Ain's extraordinary history and UNESCO heritage status.
The tour covers Al Ain's finest highlights: Jebel Hafeet mountain summit (UAE's highest peak), the natural hot springs, UNESCO-listed Al Ain Oasis with its ancient Falaj system, Al Jahili Fort, Al Ain National Museum, Hili Archaeological Park, Al Ain Camel Market, and Al Ain Palace Museum. The itinerary is flexible — your guide can prioritise the stops that interest you most.
Al Ain earned the nickname Garden City for its extraordinary greenery — rare in the Arabian desert — sustained by a 3,000-year-old underground irrigation system called the Falaj. The city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, making it the first in the UAE, recognised for its ancient oases, Bronze Age archaeological sites, and the Falaj water channels that have sustained human settlement here since 3,000 BC.
Yes, the Jebel Hafeet summit drive is included. Your private driver takes you up the famous 12-km winding mountain road to the top of the UAE's highest peak at 1,249 metres above sea level. The panoramic views of Al Ain city, the surrounding desert, and the Hajar Mountains stretching into Oman are truly spectacular and one of the most memorable moments of the day.
At the base of Jebel Hafeet Mountain, natural geothermal springs emerge from the rock at around 37°C — warm, mineral-rich water in the heart of the desert. The springs sit within a landscaped park area and are a unique natural attraction. Guests can paddle or soak in the warm water. If you wish to enter, bring or wear a swimsuit. The visit is entirely optional.
Absolutely — Al Ain is one of the most family-friendly day trips from Dubai. Children are fascinated by the Camel Market, the hot springs, the winding mountain drive up Jebel Hafeet, and the Bronze Age ruins at Hili Archaeological Park. Al Ain Zoo (optional add-on) is also excellent for families with younger children, home to over 4,000 animals including giraffes, lions, and the rare Arabian oryx.
